This month's Momo Mail theme is spring flowers!
I've been spending a lot of time out on the trail lately, and have really been enjoying seeing the critters return and the flowers bloom. I've learned that it is easy to miss these little things- the flits of birds flying by, scattered petals on the ground, puppy tracks in the grass- but by choosing to look for them, I give myself such a wonderful gift! The feeling of slowing down, of feeling wonder and awe, and engaging in the art of noticing brings me so much peace, joy, and perspective. It's hard for exams and work to feel all consuming when we are reminded of the larger, beautiful things we are all a part of.
I recently went out for a run, and made an effort to write down every little thing that captured my attention or made me smile. The resulting piece of poetry is featured on this months post card print, and the wonder I felt in seeing so many beautiful things is captured by Momo's expression in the painting.

May's sticker sheet is also inspired by this particular outing, and all the stickers are of little things that I noticed while out and about. North Carolina is known for it's love of cardinals, and so I had to make sure that the cute little red bird was included!

Near my home is a number of beautiful wisteria trees, littered throughout the landscape. I'm not sure I can say that I noticed them when we moved here in May of last year.. they are invasive and fast growing, so it is possible they are new? They are beautiful, nonetheless, and I am pleased to say that I did my (incredibly small, and self serving) part for the environment by picking and drying a few. The bonus item for May is a dried and pressed wisteria flower, scanned and digitized into a transparent sticker! You all can enjoy this piece of my home alongside me, with a little less of the glue, mess, and potential for bugs!
I hope that these little pieces of art and writing remind you to enjoy this season while it lasts! Please make sure to make time for yourselves, your joy, your awe, and your creativity matters.
P.S.
If you end up joining the club this month, please send me pictures of how you use these! It brings me immeasurable joy.
